In Memory of Mr. Sanghvi
Mr. Sanghvi came to this country with almost nothing. No savings. No education. No safety net. Just quiet courage and the will to work.
He spent decades doing labor-intensive jobs—packing chips, delivering newspapers, standing on factory lines. But it was what he did after the workday ended that defined him.
While most would go home to rest, Mr. Sanghavi would knock on a neighbor’s door—someone recovering from surgery, or someone simply overwhelmed—and offer to mow their lawn. Fix a broken appliance. Deliver groceries. Lend his only van. Or simply show up and say, “How can I help?”
And he did all of this while living paycheck to paycheck.
He didn’t wait until he had more to give. He gave anyway—because that’s who he was.
Mr. Sanghvi didn’t measure a person by their success. He measured them by their potential. And when he saw even a glimmer of it, he would do everything in his power to fan it into a flame.

He approached a young boy in the family—curious but lost—and asked him to build a computer. The boy was stunned. They couldn’t afford a computer, let alone build one. But Mr. Sanghvi insisted.
What the boy didn’t know was that Mr. Sanghvi had no real interest in owning a computer.
What he wanted was to unlock something in the boy. And he knew the best way to do it… was to ask for help.
Mr. Sanghvi understood something that even top universities and think tanks often overlook: That belief, when given at the right time, is a kind of miracle.
So the boy accepted the challenge. He read manuals. Opened parts. Failed. Tried again. And then, one day, he succeeded.
That computer turned on—and so did a fire inside the boy that never went out. He went on to build a career in technology, launch a company, and create tools that would change lives.
But it all began with a single act of insight from a man with no formal training, no money, and no recognition. Just heart. Vision. And a rare kind of wisdom.
