A Ripple of Hope and Determination
Featuring Grant Recipient: Josue G.
When Josue walks the halls of the University of Southern California, he carries more than just a backpack filled with textbooks—he carries the dreams of his community and the generations before him who didn’t have the same opportunity.
A proud first-generation college student, Josue is pursuing a degree in Computer Science as a freshman at one of the nation’s leading universities. Graduating high school with an extraordinary 4.58 GPA, he has proven time again that dedication can open doors, no matter the odds.
But academic excellence doesn’t always erase financial barriers. As a low-income Latino student, Josue has a personal goal: to graduate debt-free so he can give back to the people who’ve given him everything—his mother and stepfather.
“If I can graduate without debt,” Josue shares, “I can help my family by contributing to rent and utilities instead of being buried in student loans.”
That vision became more attainable with the support of the iFusion Foundation Grant. The grant helped relieve some of the financial pressure, allowing Josue to focus on what truly matters—his education, his future, and the impact he hopes to make.
Josue’s journey is about more than academic achievement. It’s about showing other young students in underrepresented communities that college is not just a dream—it’s a reality. With hard work and the right support, the path forward can be brighter.
“This is the ripple effect of success I want to create,” he says, “for my family and my community.”
We are honored to support students like Josue, whose determination to rise above circumstances inspires us all. His success is a testament and a shining example of the power of giving back.
Thank you, Josue, for leading with vision and heart. Your story reminds us why every grant we give is an investment in a brighter future.
